Is What You’re Seeing Really Real?

What if what you’re seeing isn’t really real? . For instance, is this a vase or two faces? . What makes your brain see one thing and someone else see another? . How about a real life example: . You’re sitting at your kitchen table having breakfast and a disagreement ensues. One person interprets the response as reasonable and calm. The other person see and hears anger and condescension. Why do different people interpret the same thing in different ways? . The interesting thing is that your brain doesn’t simply see what is before you in the present. Your brain combines your present with your past before you are even aware of your interpretation. . In some ways this helps us and speeds up our processing. In some ways it hinders us. We get stuck in the past and have a hard time moving forward. . Watch this video to understand more about how your brain processes your experiences and what you can do to ensure you’re seeing reality as it really is. . . . . Are You Tired of Feeling Down?

Are you tired of feeling down? . What if you could change your mood simply by creating a new thought? . Do you think it’s possible? . According to the latest research in neuroscience, the answer is yes. . Watch today’s video to learn why this works and how you can immediately implement this amazing tool in your life. . There’s no need for you to ever feel down. . This technique changes everything. . . . . . Be sure to share your perspective in the comments! Your voice matters! . To join our community and snatch up your copy of LouAnn’s worksheet: ‘Achieve your Dreams and Goals: 5 Easy Steps’ simply fill out the form below. We’d LOVE to have you join your community. . . .   As we always say in our community Be Inspired! Be Inspirational! Be a Leader! You’re changing someone’s life simply by being you. Transcript: Is it possible that you can change your entire mood simply by creating a thought? Consider this: When we have a thought our brains release a chemical that goes through our entire bodies. Now when that thought is negative, the chemical that is released causes our muscles to tense, causes our hands to sweat, causes our heart rate to go so fast that some of us even feel dizzy when we feel angry. ever On the other side, when the thought is positive another chemical gets released and that chemical causes our bodies to relax. It dries out our palms, it slows down our heart rate to a comfortable peaceful rate. At the same time we all of the sudden have this focus and energy to live our lives and go after our dreams and enjoy all the adventure that’s before us. . Now the interesting things is all those sensations, which affect our moods, are caused by a chemical released from our brains. The chemical that’s released is determined by the thoughts we have. Every thought we have affects our entire body including our moods and the sensations that we have in our hearts. . Is it possible to change our entire mood simply by creating a new thought? . What do you think? . According to neuroscientists and all the research they’ve done and all the brain scans they’ve done on our behalf, the answer is ‘yes’. . Our thoughts influence everything. They influence our experience in the world, they influence the way our bodies feel, influence the moods that we have. Our thoughts create our lives. . Now the challenge we have is that most people don’t focus in on creating the thoughts they want to have and most people don’t know how to challenge the thoughts that come into their minds. . So I’m going to give you one tip to get you started today to taking charge of your thoughts which changes your mood and your body and your entire life. . The one tip is this: Make a life-style determination that you are going to be a positive, energetic and happy joy-filled person. . Now what do I mean by that? Shen we determine how were going to approach life and respond to situations then that influences our subconscious mind. In that determination we have to be active about it so we’ve talked about affirmations before in our daily affirmations we can include something like: I am a positive energetic happy person or I am determined to seek solutions not problems or maybe something like: no matter what happens today, no matter what circumstance happens in my life, I will find the benefit that I can use for my own good. . You see if we just determine ahead of time how we’re going to respond, then it’s so much easier when life throws us curve balls to choose the positive happy energetic thought and the cool thing is when we choose that kind of thought it actually helps...

Earned Not Given

Earned Not Given

There’s no mystery about creating success. . The same powerful tool moves us towards our goals in every area of life: . Career Relationships Health and Fitness Business  . Any goal you have will be only be reached if you use this incredibly powerful tool. . See, Success is Earned Not Given. . Allow me to explain . . Transcript . Hey there. I’m LouAnn Stropoli and I’m the founder of Inspirational Leading Academy, an Amazon #1 best selling collaborate author, and I help people take the Stop out of their Start. . Today we’re going to talk about the most important tool you have in your tool box to create your success. That tool is Preparation. . Now here’s a real quick example: I LOVE running Spartan races. They are so much fun. They give me so much focus. They give me a reason to train. Spartans are an incredible group of people who support each other in incredible ways. So I recently ran my second race and I was able to compare it to the first one and also look back upon the training and see where I had done well and where I had sort of missed the mark. . Now the thing that I added differently for the second race was running up in the mountains and the hills of California. I would go out for 1-2 hour training runs – and some of these hills – mountains – are pretty straight up. It was great training and I noticed on race day that that training came in really handy because Temecula is really hilly. I found that all the way up to the end of the race I was still running. There were a lot of people who were barely walking at that point. Because I had trained in that way I was actually running feeling really great at that point. . But I also noticed and I know this about myself the weakest part of my body is my upper body strength and I’m working on building it up weight trainings, pushups, handstand pushups are my next goal – but when I got into the race that fact that I hadn’t trained properly with my upper body was very noticeable. . So there’s an obstacle where you have to grab the rings and the bars and you have to move yourself along. When I was a kid that was no problem but on the race I didn’t actually get past the first rung. The rope climb – A lot of the rope climb is your legs too – it’s arms and legs together, but I don’t have a rope. Although I tried – I tried 3 times to get going on the rope, I just could never – I couldn’t figure it out . It was so obvious to me the areas where I was strong in my training ended up being the areas where I was strong in my race. . Ok now that applies to other areas of life too. Our training affects our performance or our success. So for me being a profession musician in my first career I trained my entire life until I got to the place where I was performing professionally – and then I kept training cause it’s a continua process. . So here’s my question: Is there an area of your life where you’re preparing a next step or you’re training to grow? Is there an area? . Now I’ll ask you: Are you doing the proper training to open up that door for yourself? . For instance: Are you trying to move from one career to another? Are you expecting a baby? Are you preparing for a life-long relationship with someone? If so are you taking time to answer all the tough questions together? Are you delving into relationships communication? Are you doing what it...

3 Reasons Why Stepping Out Beyond Your Fears Is Worth The Risk

3 Reasons Why Stepping Out Beyond Your Fears Is Worth The Risk

. Have you ever stood on the edge of a cliff and wondered what it would be like to fly? . I mean like  – take a leap and sour out over the valley? . . I have an almost insatiable thirst to fly. It’s apparently why I hike to the edge of cliffs why I like to drive moving trucks across the country and why I’m an entrepreneur . I once said to a counselor,  “I don’t live by fear.“ She gave me a condescending look of doubt and disbelief. I promptly fired her!! . It’s not that I don’t feel fear. It’s more that I refuse to allow it to control my life. I refuse to be stopped by it. . I today’s article, I’d like to help you do the same. . If you prefer to LISTEN rather than READ, then here’s your MP3: Enjoy! http://www.louannstropoli.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Beyond-Fears.mp3 . . Here’s 3 reasons why stepping out beyond our fears is worth the risk. . . 1) It teaches our brains a new definition of fear. . . . See – fear exists in the brain… not in real life. Fear is a made up ‘reality’ It’s our brain’s way of keeping us out of danger. Depending on each brain’s interpretation of danger – fear looks differently. . . This is why some people are afraid of heights and others aren’t. The height differential is the same. What the individual brain sees and registers in each person is what makes the difference. . , I honestly had a BIG fear that my crowd funding campaign would be a total flop. * My family is now in heaven * I’m still developing entrepreneurial venture partners for my business. * Many friends don’t understand what I’m doing. * Who else in this economy is going to help little ole me?   . What if it failed while the world was watching? * What would that do to my business? * How would that effect my efforts to attract the right clients and partners? * What would this do to all the progress I’ve made emotionally and in my ability to re-frame the difficult past experiences of my life? . I had a choice to make: a) step out and and risk it all or b) give in to the fear and stay slumped down in a corner . I chose to step out! . By stepping out I helped my brain to learn that flopping publicly does not equal being eaten alive by a large animal and that I and my business would be just fine no matter the outcome. . I took the risk and I’m so glad I did. . . . 2) It teaches us that ‘NO’ is ‘YES’. . . Darren Hardy, my business mentor, says this: “Go out there and fail as much as possible!” . . As a real estate agent, Darren would knock on doors every work day until he had 50 nos. He would actually mark them off on a chart!!! . He got pretty used to hearing no and he developed a strong resistance to rejection. . During my campaign I had to be very courageous. It wasn’t enough to post photos and pleas on Social Media. . I had to email our community and contact personal and entrepreneurial friends. It’s a scary thing to contact people personally and ask for help. . I kept hearing my mentor in my head: “Go out there and get as many ‘no’s as possible. Eventually you’ll learn to like it.” . Did I hear ‘No’s?...

Honor the Break

Honor the Break

I’ve discovered a very surprising motivator. . It helps me: . Release weight faster Reignite my focus Realign myself after a disappointment Reinvigorate the activity in my brain . It releases endorphins in my body and lights a spark in my neurons. . Do you know what it is? . It’s called a BREAK.  Who knew!?!?! . Here’s what I learned about breaks this past week. . If you’ve been following the FB page you may have noticed that I’m in the middle of a fitness journey. Simply working towards being the most healthy me that I can be. . It’s my custom to do some sort of workout every day. My typical routine is 1/2 hour of strength and a 1/2 of cardio. . The other day, I just felt like switching it up. All I did was 30 minutes of strengthening yoga poses. . Guess what happened in the following two days. Not only did I NOT gain weight – I actually released 1.6 pounds! . My body just wanted a little break before it broke it’s little plateau. . I include breaks in my work day too. They’re schedule and yes .. my iPhone dings when it’s time to “Honor the Break? . I notice (like the last few days) when I get off and don’t take my scheduled breaks, my entire productivity wains. When that happens, I always feel far less than satisfied at the end of the day. . Are you taking breaks? Are they scheduled? . What can you do to include a little more break time in your life? It doesn’t have to be long – but it does have to be an actual break. . I promise – you won’t lose productivity – you’ll actually gain it. . While you ponder that question, here’s a two minute sunset meant to help you rest and relax. . . . See you in the comments! . How to Expand Your Love of Life

How to Expand Your Love of Life

I’m excited to be writing this post just shy of the launch of our new book, The Energy of Expansion. The book explores how we expand our experience in life. It’s filled with perspectives from 22 authors.  You will enjoy a rich variety of perspectives. . When I was asked to think about my own life and the expansion I’ve experienced, my mind immediately drew a comparison to those dark lonely days 7 years ago (referred to in my last post) compared to where I am today. . The difference in how my life looks and how I feel is a magnificent testimony that we are truly never stuck – no matter how bad things may seem. . As I reflected on the changes in my life that expanded my joy and opportunities – two principles stood out. 1) I needed to learn to love myself more 2) I needed to learn to believe in myself . This week we’ll explore self-love. Here’s 9 reasons why loving ourselves is so important. I’m relying on you for #10. . 1) Loving ourselves acknowledges that we’ve been created with magnificence and purpose. . If we believe this is true, then loving ourselves is simply loving our creator and the magnificence behind the intelligent purposeful design that has brought us into being. . 2) Loving ourselves improves our relationships and intimacy. . Having close intimate relationships requires a level of security and trust. It takes great courage to choose to be truly close –  living together as life-partners bearing our hearts and our souls and sharing our bodies. Loving ourselves is the only way to truly open up to loving another person with this level of vulnerability. . 3) Loving ourselves helps us set proper boundaries for our mental and physical health. . We all know that exercise is important. We also know that it’s important to say no from time to time. If we fail to love ourselves, we will put these important aspects of life aside. The end result can be catastrophic. . 4) Loving ourselves improves our confidence. . Have you ever noticed that people who don’t love themselves tend to want to push others down and out of the way. People who don’t truly love themselves and their unique set of gifts tend to be threatened by others who appear more confident. The only cure for the insecurity disease is to learn to love who we are and all that we bring to this wonderful table called life. . 5) Loving ourselves causes us to fall in love with our lives. . Have you ever noticed how everything is delightful when you are in love? Well, loving ourselves has that same effect. Love begets love. It’s as simple as that and it’s super super fun! . 6) Loving ourselves helps us set and reach our goals. . Do you remember that video series Promises -2-Goals? We explored how making promises to ourselves is much more powerful and intimate than simply setting goals. The promises I made to myself this year were made because I love and care for myself and want something better. If I didn’t love myself, then the overall quality of my life and the desire to achieve my very highest opportunity would not matter to me. I know this is true because I used to not love myself. Loving ourselves changes everything. . 7) Loving ourselves helps us in those dark times when others don’t show us love. . I recently went through a rather brutal experience with someone I trusted. Back in the day...
